In WeHo, the truck is the problem. Preferential parking districts cover nearly every residential block. Streets off Sunset and Santa Monica Boulevard are narrow, parked solid, and unforgiving of a 26-foot vehicle trying to turn around. Send the wrong truck and you’re looking at a ticket, a blocked street, and a crew hand-carrying your sofa two hundred feet.
So we don’t guess. Before your move date we look at your address, the street width, the loading situation, and where the truck can legally sit — then we assign a vehicle that fits. Sometimes that’s a 16-footer making two trips instead of one big truck making zero. That decision gets made in the office, not in your driveway at 8am.
Worth knowing: West Hollywood is an independent city. Its parking permits and enforcement run through the City of West Hollywood, not LADOT — different forms, different timelines, different rules than a move two blocks east. Our dispatchers deal with both regularly.
Practical note: if your street has permit-only parking, tell us when you book, not the day before. Temporary no-parking arrangements need lead time to be enforceable, and a spot reserved in advance saves you more in labor hours than the permit costs.
Plenty of movers will tell you they move pianos. Fewer have a piano board and a crew that’s done it a hundred times. We disassemble and pack the legs and pedals, protect the body, secure it properly for transport, and put four movers on a grand — not two with a dolly and optimism. Mention the piano when you book so the right crew and equipment are scheduled. Antique furniture gets the same treatment: wrapped element by element, nothing improvised.
For general packing we use moving blankets, plastic shrink wrap, packing paper for dishes, and wardrobe boxes, with the combination chosen per item — fragile pieces get more material and more time, not less. Full or partial packing is available through our packing service.
Protection isn’t only about materials. Before the move we run a risk assessment and you choose your coverage: basic coverage is included in the cost of the work at no extra charge, and full-value coverage is priced separately based on what you want covered. Our booking agent explains both before you commit. The unglamorous version: your things stay with our crews the whole way — no broker handing the job to whoever’s available that morning.

Most of WeHo lives in buildings, and buildings have opinions. Elevator reservations, permitted move hours, a certificate of insurance on file before anyone touches the freight elevator — miss one and your crew waits in the lobby on your dime.
We handle that coordination as part of the booking. Tell us your building and we’ll confirm what it needs. On the day, we pad elevators and hallways, work inside your reserved window, and keep the crew moving so you’re not paying for downtime. Walk-ups are normal here too — third-floor units off Havenhurst with no elevator at all. We staff those jobs accordingly rather than sending two movers and hoping.
If you only need muscle and already have transport, our labor-only movers load and unload by the hour.

How packed you are. Everything boxed and closed when we arrive means the crew loads instead of packs. Half-finished kitchens are where hours disappear.
Furniture that comes apart. Disassembly and reassembly is included in the hourly rate, but it still takes minutes per piece.
The date. Month-end, weekends, and May through September are the busiest windows in the city.
We’d rather quote you accurately than low. Tell us the awkward details when you book — the narrow stairwell, the piano, the street that’s always full — and the estimate you get will resemble the bill you pay.
