Waterfront homes, Balboa and Lido Isle, and gated Newport Coast estates — handled by our own crews, with upfront pricing.
Newport Beach is a harbor town where almost every address moves differently. Balboa Island and Lido Isle have lanes too narrow for a full-size truck. The Balboa Peninsula runs on tight parking and summer tourist traffic. Newport Coast sits behind guard gates with HOA move windows, and the waterfront homes along the harbor come with docks, salt air, and buildings that want a certificate of insurance before the crew arrives. Gentlemen’s Moving handles all of it with our own crews and trucks, and we match the truck, the crew, and the route to the neighborhood you’re actually in.

In Newport, the water is the complication. Here’s how it plays out across the different parts of town.
Balboa Island and Lido Isle have narrow lanes, often too tight for a large truck, so we bring a smaller vehicle and plan a careful carry instead of forcing a 26-footer onto a street it can’t navigate. Balboa Island access can also mean working around the ferry and limited bridge approaches, which we build into the timing.
The Balboa Peninsula is dense, short on parking, and busy with summer tourist traffic on and around PCH, so we plan where the truck sits before the day rather than leaving it to chance. On an hourly move, a truck parked close instead of blocks away keeps time off the bill.
Waterfront and harbor homes bring their own conditions: dock access, salt air and humidity that are hard on furniture, and buildings that require a certificate of insurance and reserved elevator or move windows. We wrap and protect accordingly and line up the building requirements in advance.
Newport Beach has some of Orange County’s most exclusive gated communities, and they don’t let a moving crew just drive in. Newport Coast enclaves — Pelican Hill, Pelican Crest, Pelican Point, Crystal Cove — along with Linda Isle, Harbor Island, and Bayshores are guard-gated. That usually means a name left at the gate ahead of time, height limits on the entry arches, a set move window from the HOA, and a certificate of insurance on file before the crew gets through.
We sort that out when you book, so nobody’s stuck at a call box on move day. These are larger homes with more to move, often with furniture and art worth extra attention, so crew size and materials are planned for the property. Give us the community and your building’s requirements at booking and we arrange the access ahead of the date.

Local moves are billed hourly, based on crew size and how long the job takes, with a minimum number of hours. In Newport Beach, a few things stretch that time more than they would elsewhere:
The quote you get is the bill you pay. No service charge, no gas or truck fee, no stairs or long-carry line showing up at the end. For general pricing, see our rates page.
Upfront pricing, licensed crews, your own team start to finish
Newport homes hold pieces that need more than a dolly — pianos and grand pianos, china cabinets, antiques, and framed art, all handled by crews trained for them and moved with our trucks’ ramps, hydraulic gates, dollies, and straps. Fragile items are packed in materials matched to each piece, with dishes, mirrors, and glass given extra protection. Want it packed for you? Our packing service covers the whole home or just the fragile rooms, and junk removal clears what you’re not taking.
Not every move stays local. We cover the wider Orange County area and run long-distance moves with our own CDL drivers and fleet. If your dates don’t line up, storage in transit holds everything until you’re ready, and labor-only crews are available by the hour.
